Cracking, debonding, and grout failure often occur when expansion joints, slab conditions, or waterproofing requirements are overlooked. We review substrate conditions and installation details to reduce long-term failure risk.

Concrete slabs are not static and can experience movement from thermal changes, shrinkage, loading, or structural conditions. If this movement is not properly addressed through substrate preparation, crack isolation, and movement joints, stresses can transfer directly into the tile assembly. Over time, this can lead to cracking, debonding, or grout failure. We evaluate slab conditions and incorporate movement accommodation methods as part of the installation to support long-term performance in commercial environments.
